You are invited by Gesundheit! Institute and Patch Adams to Guatemala City, Guatemala for the 9th annual Alternative Spring Break trip! During the week we will open our hearts into the discovery of improvisational play, communal connectedness, and activism through joy and service. If you've never clowned before, this is your chance to dive into a whole new way of being!
Each day, we will explore the dynamics between play and power during visits to hospitals, nursing homes, schools, public parks, and special needs facilities. We will be joined in our visits by members of the Guatemalan clown organization Fabrica de Sonrisas. As we learn about ourselves as humanitarian clowns through workshops in clown technique, we will also form bonds within our small group as well as in the greater Fabricas family.
A clown trip is a great opportunity to expand your idea of the world and yourself. What does it feel like to open your heart and be ready to experience the world? Register for this trip and change your life! Invite your friends, siblings, cousins, or even parents! Everyone is welcome; no experience necessary.

The day-to-day itinerary of the trip will not be available from the Fabrica de Sonrisas coordination team until closer to March, but this is what a typical day looks like:
Cost - $1300
