Hi there,
My job as a CNA in a nursing home environment really changed the way I feel about the medical profession. I was working at one of the best nursing home/rehab facilities in my area. I found that they need house calls too. It is so sad to see the elderly sit there with no visitors and no one that cares about them.
This is when I decided to give them something that otherwise they would not have-a caring and loving friendship with someone that wants to make their lives better.
I planned with my girls (Felicia, 16, and Annie, 4) to visit and do nails and have interesting conversations and have parties with their favorite foods and loving companions.
Well, this went so well that we decided to do this as much as we could.
Unfortunately, I was injured pretty badly at work and now I am unable to do this. Now our love is passed through letters and phone calls. This is also good, but I miss doing it in person.
I am hopeful that things with my spine are able to be operated on so that I can get around a little better to see some of my friends again.
My love to all, and keep loving!
