Gesundheit! Institute Global Outreach invites you to join us for a two week clown tour in the motherland. We will be spending the first week in Moscow and the second week in St. Petersburg, clowning in hospitals, orphanages, and nursing homes. No experience required!

History proves this is a guaranteed amazing trip filled with clowns from all walks of life from across the world. In Russia our arrival is eagerly awaited by a host of Russian friends who love and care for us as their family and ensure an incredible cultural experience with Russia and its people, culture, and passions. Together we will transform into a troupe deeply bonded by shared experience and love!

Schedule

The day-to-day itinerary of the trip will not be available from our Russian team until closer to November, but this is what a typical day looks like:

Breakfast at the Hotel
Travel by bus to clown at a hospital or orphanage
Lunch
Travel by bus to another clowning opportunity
Dinner at the Hotel

Some of the institutions we clown for are very small, and on those days we will split into groups clowning in different locations, but then come back together for meals. We will also have many clowning opportunities on the streets, in restaurants and everywhere we go in Russia. There will be some site-seeing and cultural opportunities, some free time, and special dinner parties and gatherings with our Russian friends. Traveling with a large group of clowns in Russia also takes a bit of flexibility from both organizers and participants. (For instance, last year, because of warnings about "Swine Flu," we had to make many last-minute schedule changes. However, our no whining policy + tremendous group positivity got us through what could have been very stressful situations with ease and joy!

Trip Coordinator

I’m Morrighan Clinco (my clown name is also Clinco.) I first traveled to Russia with Patch on this very clown tour in 1997 where I celebrated my 13th birthday. I have since joined Gesundheit! on countless clown trips including many returns to Russia and I am honored to be serving you. The Russia tour changed my life and set me on a path I never would have predicted. If you are new to the world of clowning I am here for you, to help you in anyway to prepare for this trip! I have also spent a lot of time in Russia and can answer specific questions you have about the nature of this tour. If I don’t know the answer, I will find someone who does.
