Hands-On Hemp Planting Workshop

June 8-15, 2019 | Hillsboro, WV

Hands On Workshop Learning to Plant Hemp!

The Experience

Our first annual hemp planting will be a weeklong experience filled with hands on education, delicious food, nature and plenty of relaxation.

We grew one acre of hemp here at Gesundheit last year and it was a great success. We now want to teach others about hemp cultivation.

While you’re here you will also have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. There are hiking trails, waterfalls, a large pond and lush forest to explore.

All food we eat will be plant based, grown ourselves or sourced locally whenever possible.

Who is invited?

You are! No prior background is required, just concern for the welfare of others and willingness to try things out. Spaces Fill Quick. Register Soon!

General Information

Cost? | Free! Tuition is waived for volunteers for this event!

We are looking for folks interested in learning about hemp cultivation in a hands on environment. Those interested must be capable of manual labor which will include a lot of bending over and sometimes being on hands and knees. We will be working outside in the sun from 9am-5pm with an hour long lunch break. Please bring hats, sunglasses, garden gloves and sunscreen.

Volunteers will be fed lunch and dinner, but are responsible for their own breakfast. Volunteers will be housed in the yurts and are also welcome to camp.
