The Gesundheit! institute is thrilled to announce the first Nepal Clown tour with Maureen Piya from “Bombo clowns”
Arrive on March 17 at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan airport departure on March 27
Join us in the beautiful Nepal, the country of mountains, the birthplace of the Buddha and a haven of spirituality. the country where guests are treated as gods.
Nepal is a small land locked country between India and China. The country has more than 100 different cultures and languages. Within this small country you can experience the mountains, hills and plain land. A big variation of landscapes, flora and fauna and cultures.
This trip is an adventure, as power and water are not available 24/7. Beds can be very firm and travel by bus is a bumpy experience. The main diet of Nepal is Dal Bhat Tarkari (rice, lentils and vegetables) and is eaten 3 times a day.
Clowning will open doors unlike any other travel experience. Gesundheit! Global outreach has clowned across the world with different groups. Our experience has taught us thst clowning is an incredible tool for connecting with people and that anyone is able to do it. The only criteria for this tour is that you come as a clown with a joyful spirit of compassion, flexibility and interest. Patch will not be with us in Nepal.
Every day is unique, though a typical may look like this:
Free time is sometimes included, but for specific sight seeing, we advise you to come earlier or stay longer.

Maureen Piya
Born in the Netherlands, but while traveling fell in love with Nepal and its people. She is married to a great Nepali man and a mother of two. She started a non profit that supports children in their education and started a handicraft business to provide jobs to women.
Founder of Stichting Clownszaken (NGO), clown and care specialist for people with severe special needs. As a clown I have been on almost 50 international projects abroad through many years. How can we bring humor and humanity for people in need? how can we be serious about play? I believe our audience deserves the best, no matter who they are.
